I love this post Orla. This year has been a finding myself year so far. I think my words would be organization and focus. Both which I feel I need to get on track with my painting and develop a future for it. As for small things bring simplicity. I have a truck camper being delivered today and it is going to be a way for me to connect with plein air and spend time with my hubby. Just outdoors. Enjoying the beauty of the natural world. I’m so excited. And I’m so excited about what the next 6 months have to bring. Thanks for your share. I really enjoyed it ❤️
Hey Shan! Ooh those are good words - and VERY exciting!! So many adventures to come! I used to have a wee van and it unlocked so many fun trips, and absolutely fab for painting like you say :) I’m excited for you! Hope you get a fun first drive tonight 😊
Oh that sounds so fun! Adventure is exactly what I’m looking for. I live in the prairies of Canada lol so travelling around should help find some good spots. It’s just so darn flat here!
This was beautiful to read Orla, looks like you are in between the greatness of being busy with your art/work and the simplicity of slow living! I am finding that the my word of the year is Acceptance 🤍 I am learning to accept that I cannot do everything I wish to do, both in my art as in my daily life. And is something that I cannot control or fight for so acceptance is a major step to live better with myself.

August will be very interesting! I struggle so much with buildings and anything else that isn’t landscape.
